Goodnight June by Sarah Jio
This book is an easy read and puts you in a state of mind to relax and dream during the autumn season.
Written by Sarah Jio, one of the best novelists to come from the Pacific Northwest, Goodnight June mirrors the children’s book Goodnight moon and is set in present-day as well as a few decades ago. It captures romance, beauty, nature, angst, and passion.
You’ll be moved by this book to consider what life is truly about and how change can come when you least expect it.

Body of Work by Pamela Slim
In this thought-provoking book on career management, former Consultant and Business Coach Pamela Slim explores the idea that our collective life experiences signals our body of work.
This means that our transferable skills can strengthen our contributions in both the workplace and in our personal lives.
After reading this book, you will want to examine your total life experiences, from that summer job to the gig you did in between jobs to determine your skills and how those can be parlayed for future opportunities.
This is by far a must-have on your Fall reading list. Get Body of Work here.
Thrive by Arianna Huffington
This book by Arianna Huffington of Huffington Post should be one of the first books you tackle in this Fall reading list because it will literally change your life.
After suffering a fall a few years ago and hurting herself due to exhaustion, Huffington decided to make some serious changes to her lifestyle.
Years of constant work and stress led to burn-out and this episode proved as a wake-up call for Huffington. This led to a movement aimed at focusing on well-being and self-care which gave birth to her new venture, Thrive.
Thrive is an exploration of disrupting our hustle culture and will force you to take a look at what matters most in life.

I read this book a few years ago and fell in love with Amy Dubois Barnett’s style of writing – it feels like you are having dinner with her and she is dishing out her best advice on life.
A long time editor in the magazine publishing industry, Barnett offers up information on career tips, money advice, dating, fashion and relationships.
This is another book that you can cozy up by the fire and will be a great addition to your Autumn reading list.
